 Nephrolithiasis is more commenly seen in men than in women & generally occure in people between the ages of 20-50 .Risk factors are perticularly obesity, dehydration, a diet rich with high salt and sugar and generally exess use of medicine like calcium based antacids. Diet rich in animal proteins like fish & meat increases acidic level and leads to kidney stone.               These stones are generally hard deposits of acid salts & minerals , can be painful while passing through the urinary tract and is characterized by severe pain in abdomin with nausea.               A diet rich in fluids and high in fat & low in protein and carbohydrates is preferred. Increasing fluid intake could help to prevent the formation of stones. Reduce intake of salt and animal proteins.
